The vision of First Baptist Church is to become as healthy and effective as possible in our four core functions.

"to become"- Achieving our vision is a process. It does not come instantly, but it does come through the power of God and persistent effort.

"healthy and effective"- This is our goal and aim. Everything we do is measured by these two words.

"our four core functions"- God's Word highlights four essentials "callings" for the Christ-centered Church.

Core Function 1: We are called by God to be a Sanctuary. We are a people committed to experiencing, loving, worshipping and obeying the Lord Jesus Christ.

Core Function 2: We are called by God to be a Hospital. We are a people committed to caring and building one another up in the love and truth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Core Function 3: We are called by God to be a Lighthouse. We are a people committed to actively penetrating darkness around us with the radiant light of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Core Function 4: We are called by God to be an Academy. We are a people committed to the pursuit of understanding the faith and Kingdom in which we participate.
