The mission of Activate Student Ministries is to equip our students to be active in their walk with Christ, both while in junior high and high school, but also after graduation.
Here at Activate we strive to fulfill this mission by offering many opportunities for your students to get involved.
Sundays
- Sunday School - 9:45 am - We usually follow a master/teacher system. There will be an announcement time followed by an introduction to the lesson and then the students split up into small groups. (Jr. High, 9/10 girls, 11/12 girls, and a guys group)
We have 3 distinct discipleship opportunities for our students during Family Forum on Sunday nights.
- Youth Worship Ministry - 4:30 pm -through YWM we offer an opportunity to our students to worship. An opportunity to worship in many different forms. These different forms include a youth choir, youth orchestra, interpretive movement (dance, sign language), and a youth drama team.
- FUEL - 6:00 pm - FUEL is a youth worship service that takes place in the youth room every Sunday evening. At FUEL we worship through music and through the preaching of the word.
- RAC - after FUEL - a time of fellowship. This usually takes place at the home of one of the youth group members.
Wednesdays
- Youth Handbells - 6:30 pm - a handbell choir made up of our youth group members.
- StepTwo - 7:00 pm - a time of in-depth Bible study and discipleship for our youth
Annual Events
- Youth Camp - each summer our students attend a youth camp. At this camp they receive sound Biblical teaching and are greatly encouraged in their walk with Christ.
- Mission Trip - our students take a week out of their summer to serve. In previous years we have hosted Vacation Bible Schools, backyard Bible clubs, sport camps and last summer we worked with Habitat for Humanity. There is an attendance requirement for this event. If interested, please contact Joel.
- Disciple Now - this is youth camp shoved into one weekend. We collaborate with local churches to communicate unity among different church bodies and to show to our students that we are all in this together.
- Youth Choir Tour - each spring, our YWM students write an original musical. We perform this musical for our church family and then take this musical on tour during the summer where we perform the musical for churches and minister in the local communities.
