It's the belief that WORSHIP is at the center of our church, of our families, of our ministry, of our lives.  It's the commitment to WORSHIP as a 24/7 proposition and a lifelong pursuit.  It's the realization that when God made us He designed us to worship Him and that there is no greater joy than to stand together in His presence lifting our hands, our voices, our hearts in praise to Him.

Our Worship Services

Here at First Rosenberg we offer a classic worship service at 8:30am & a contemporary worship service at 11:00am, each Sunday.  Our classic worship service features a sanctuary choir, piano, organ and the great hymns of the faith.  This service takes place in our sanctuary.  Our contemporary service is led by a praise team leading worship with the songs of this generation in a casual atmosphere.  This service is held in our fellowship hall.

FBC Worship Choirs, Groups & Ensembles

• Celebration Choir - a traditional choir for adults that meets each Wednesday night 7:30 - 8:30 in the Choir Room to rehearse and sings each Sunday morning for our 8:30 am worship service.  No audition required.
   
• Praise Band - a group of instrumentalists and singers that leads worship in our 11:00 am service and rehearses each Tuesday night from 6:45 - 8:00.  Audition required.
   
• Youth Worship Ministry - Several ensembles designed to give our teenagers the chance to use their gifts and talents in worship.  YWM meets from September through May in the Choir Room.  No audition required.
  
  
  • Youth Orchestra - Sundays, 4:30 - 5:00
  • Youth Choir - Sundays, 5:00 - 5:30
  • Youth Drama Squad/ Interpretive Movement Ensemble - Sunday 5:30 - 6:00
     
• Graded Children's Choirs - Three groups that meet each Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 7:30 on the second floor behind the Sanctuary and in the preschool area.  Our choir year is September through May.  No audition required.
  
  
  • Music Friends - 4 & 5 year olds
  • Music Makers - grades 1 - 3
  • Young Musicians - grades 4 - 6
     
• Handbell Ministry - these ensembles play often in worship services and also take their ministry out into our community.  They meet from September through May.  Audition required.
  
  
  • Children's Chimes - grades 1 - 3, Wednesdays 6:00 - 6:30
  • Children's Bells - grades 4 - 6, Wednesdays 6:00 - 6:30
  • First Street Ringers - grades 7 - 12, Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:00
  • Master Ringers - Adult, Sundays 4:30
     
• Accompanist Team - these talented pianists and organists share in our 8:30 am service.  Audition required.

Concerts, Pageants, Community Events
 

• Christmas at First - a full scale pageant that features all of our worship ministry groups in a fast paced entertaining look at the joy and the meaning of the Christmas season.
• Children's Spring Musical - our children's choirs join forces each May to present this special evening.
• Youth Spring Musical - our youth choir, drama squad, and interpretive movement ensemble share this production each May.
• Youth Choir Tour - a week of music and missions each summer.
• Christmas in Rosenberg - all of our choirs and ensembles play a part in this citywide holiday event.
